New Beginnings

Happy New Year!

Welcome to the last Crafters Cafe Challenge of 2014

The theme for this challenge is 'New' and our sponsor is 'Fitztown' and I chose the image 'Fae 10' & this is what I did with her:



I used the following Spectrum Noirs:

GB1, GB8, GB10
FS2, FS5, FS6, FS9, TN1
PL1, PL2, PL5
BT1, BT2, BT4, BT5, TN7
CG1, CG2, DG3
CT1, CT3, CT4, GB5, OR1


I've printed extra butterflies and decoupaged them onto the image, I've also added gold gems & clear gems which I coloured with TN7 to match the body of the butterfly.

It's such a beautiful image I decided to make a frame, to which I've added more butterflies, flowers & gems and matching papers.

I am going to make a presentation box and send it to my Mum for mothers day (Sshhh), so will update later.

A Christmas Thank You Greeting

Thank You !

At Creative Fingers we have an annual 'Christmas Thank You Greeting'
a lovely idea to say thank you to our sponsors for the year.
I chose to say 'Thank You' to 'The Stamping Chef' and used the image
'Alyce' as it is one of my favourites (hope I've done it justice)



I used the following Spectrum Noirs:

GB1, GB8, GB10 LG1, LG2, LG3, LG5
 GB1, GB3, LY1, LY2, LY3, CT4

I also used:

Hunkydory gold embossed mirri card
Craftwork Cards accordion card blank



I cut down the insert and placed it on the reverse

A Winter Owl

Crafters Cafe Challenge

Its a new challenge at the 'Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog'
our theme this week is 'Animal Friends' and our sponsor is 'Squigglefly'

I chose the image 'A Winter Owl' which I used twice so I could have a male & female, with one saying to the other 'owl be home for christmas'



I  used the following Spectrum Noirs

I decide to keep it quite clean & simple by just layering the images onto some gold embossed card.

Ellie & Tippy Dance Lessons

our sponsor this week is 'Beccy's Place' & I couldn't resist this image
Ellie & Tippy Dance Lessons.



I wanted to use this in a christmas card so gave her red dance skirt and painted her nails! I used the following spectrum noirs:

IG1, IG3, IG4
PP1, PP2
LG2, LG4, LG5
CR7, CR9, CR11, DR5, DR6
white gel pen & silver gel pen

I think she looks lovely on this christmassy card stock.


I cut an inch off the front of the card and added a matching panel to the edge of the inside.

Snowball Diane

Crafters Cafe Challenge - Theme - Use a Doily


Firstly apologies for the late post, I've had issues with my broadband connection & this is the first time I've had the chance to get online.

I chose the image 'Snowball Diane' from our brilliant sponsor 'A Day For Daises'



I used the following Spectrum Noirs:

I used Tim Holtz 'Brick Red' distress ink to ink the edges of my doilies, then matt & layered with red and gold card for a traditional christmas theme.

Cookie Santa

It's challenge time again at 

CREATIVE FINGERS!

Our theme this week is 'not a square card' & our sponsor is 'Rick St.Dennis' I chose the image 'Cookie Santa' which you can purchase here. This is what I did with it:




I used the following Spectrum Noirs:

I also used a white gel pen & clear sparkle gelli-roll pen.

As our theme this week is not a square card I used a star shaped card blank & just simply added some ribbon, bow and a sentiment.

Christmas Decor

Crafting When We Can Challenge

Theme - Clean & Simple


Can't believe it's Sunday already! and another week closer to Christmas. It's a new challenge at Crafting When we Can & we are sponsored this week by ' A Random Fan' & I chose 'Christmas Decor' to play with, and this is what I did with it.



I used the following Spectrum Noirs:

FS1, FS2
IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6
LY1, CT2
CR5, CR7, CR9, CR11, DR5

To keep to the theme of clean & simple I chose just to matt and layer with red & white card stock, and I wrote out the sentiment ' Is it too late to be good?' as I thought that the penguins looked quite cheeky.

Rory's Christmas Present Delivery

It's a new challenge at

Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous 'Lacey Sunshine Stamps'
& our theme is 'Anything Goes'



I chose 'Rory's Christmas Present Delivery', I have several of the 'Rory' digi stamps so was really pleased to add another to my collection.



I used Spectrum Noir markers to colour her:

FS1, FS5, FS6
GB1, GB8, GB10
TB1, TB2, TB3, TB4, TB5
CR6, CR7, CR9, CR11, DR5
TN2, TN3, TN4, TN6, TN7

I used some free digi papers called ' Winters Freebie', by 'Katies Wish' which I matted & layered with red then silver card. I added ribbon, snowflake charms & a sentiment that reads
'sending you Christmas Wishes'




I hope you like it as much as I do, as I mentioned I have several of the 'Rory' digi's, so keeping with the papers & colour theme I coloured the others & decided to make a folder so I can sell them as a boxed set, after I made up the cards I had enough paper for the envelope liners.

Winter Elf

My 1st Design Team Card for

Creative Fingers Challenge Blog



We are lucky to be sponsored by 'Scrappers Delights' & our theme this week is 

'Any round embellishments'

Scrapper's Delights


I chose the lovely image 'Winter Elf' & this is what I did with her;



I used the following Spectrum Noir pens

FS1, FS5, FS6
GB1, GB8, GB10
HB1, HB2, HB3
PP2, PP4, PP5

I made an easel card with a 6x6 card blank & I rounded all the corners before decorating with pink & lilac papers that I have from Pink Gems Designs.


After adding lace and ribbon from my stash I added some pink round gems, lilac buttons and the sentiment 'Enjoy the Season'

I lined the inside of the card with matching paper & made a presentation box to match.
